SPRING WHAAAAAY!

Yo Dudes!
Long time again, I know, I'm sorry, I've been busy, and drunk a fair amount over the past grey months.
To pick up from Christmas, I finished up the rest of the Caffe Nero tour in Abi's little Corsa, not really my vibe but it got me to Norfolk and back and probably saved me a shed load in fuel. Cheers "Connie"
You will be pleased to know that  by about two thirds of the way through January I had received and fitted a new water pump on pickle and become mobile once again. A MASSIVE THANK YOU! to Abi's folks John and Chris for having me for the best part of a month, and to their friend Malcolm for the lone of his tools, assistance and guidance in the whole operation, couldn't have done it with out you.

Right Finley Quaye support gig at the Brixton Jamm.
AWESOME!
Solid blessings to all of you that made it down, I sincerely hope you had a blast cos I did. For all you who didn't it was packed out and vibe was great.

Here's a few shots of the show:
I got handed a rose, I was well flattered, then forgot I'd left it attached to the mic stand. Boo!

Oscar Golding (aka goatsy) real treat to play with this dude again, he was with me at the start of this whole adventure.

Josh Roberts (The Sass) god knows what he'd seen in in that corner but there's loads of shots of him starring at it.

Mamma Dibb having a sing along. Good girl!

Luke Beirne, first show with us and what a ledge. well tasty guitarist.

 Yes I am the Goatsy!

In my last post I put in a link to a Balcony tv session I did with Janet, I have since kept in touch with the guys from the show and been back to record my own session with The Sass, and Luke Beirne accompanying me on a tune called "Haunted Minds" and here it is:

Hope you digged the new tune and I'd recommend subscribing to the balcony tv channel cos there's loads of cool new music going through there.

KEEP STREETS LIVE:
Keep streets live is an Organisation headed by a gent called Johnny Walker, campaigning against new busking laws in Camden criminalising street performance with out strict license and enforcing hefty fines of up to £1000 or confiscation of instruments.
http://keepstreetslive.com/
Believing in a lot of Johnny's argument and be it that street performing is what keeps me alive and on the road, Oscar and I went along one Sunday to get involved and show support.

Since the fund raising busk keep streets live has taken Camden council to the high court but was unsuccessful in over throwing the new laws. None the less an appeal has been applied for and The Keep Streets Live army will continue fighting to keep life in our streets.

Bits n bobs:
Since then I've pretty much been pottering about making a nuisance of my self!
I have become fairly handy with a paint brush mind as I've been helping a friend up in Biggleswade get her shop looking fancy to open potentially next week. Here's the face book page for all you need to know about Adapt Design https://www.facebook.com/ADaptDesignLtd

With the new "Boy From Slough" EP releasing coming very soon I've visited a couple of radio studio's to have a chat and a play about what's gwannin.
On the 15th went for quick hang with Gareth Lloyd https://twitter.com/TheGarethLloyd at BBC3 counties on the BBC introducing show. Don't think the show is still available on iplayer but you may be able to have a gander at the live tracks http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01sjq3d

Also called in to see the team at Radio Lab again https://twitter.com/RadioLaB971fm and had a chill with Eleanor https://twitter.com/umbrellanor If you missed this no worries as It is my understanding it was all filmed and will be available to check out online in the not so distant future, and I will let you know when.

CALL TO ACTION:
Now Then! Its Monday and I know you all got a full on working week a head but chin up kid the sun is bright and yep there's a frickinother EP out on the 31st March "BOY FROM SLOUGH". So in tradition of all EP releases so far we're gonna have a bit of a jolly at the end of the week to celebrate this new piece of recorded audio and the fact that is friday and you made it through another relentless week!
Here's the do! https://www.facebook.com/events/276440875852416/

Friday eve My self and the team will be at the O2 Academy Islington having our "Boy from Slough" launch gig. The night starts at 7pm with music from Bruges www.facebook.com/brugesband, Steve Violaris www.facebook.com/steveviolarismusic, Emmet Scanlan and what the good thought www.facebook.com/EmmetScanlanMusic, Sharks don't Swim www.facebook.com/SharksDontSwim, and Me and the boys will be on 9:30 pm.
Funny thing I realised after chatting to my buddy Pip, who was the bass player in the first band I joined "Kipdenooi" was that Islington academy was one of the first London venues we played almost 10 years ago in the front bar.
So I'm stoked to be returning and would really love you all to come get involved on the night.
Tickets are available through this link http://www.musicglue.com/tom-dibb/events/28-mar-14-o2-academy-islington-o2-academy-islington/ and I'm doing a ticket/ Signed Boy from slough CD bundle on there for £14. The EP is being released on Monday 31st on itunes, and Spotify but will not be released as a hard copy so the 28th is your only opportunity to grab a limited addition "Boy From Slough" CD!

TO COME:
Got some sick dates in the pipe line set for this summer and I cant wait to get out and about in the sun doing some fresh camper van sessions and a whole new load of camper van recipes.
If your not going to be able to make Friday my next show is the 15th April at O2 Academy Oxford and looks like I may be heading out on a bit of a tour with a friend in June but will firm that up with you soon.
Keep up with tour dates at http://tomdibb.com/singer-songwriter.htm and I'm also hitting up a bunch of private shows this season so if you'd like me to come have a play in your garden or living room give me a holler on any of the following and we'll have a bit of a do.
